color: light goldsmell: sweet flowers, honeysuckle
taste: mellow smoke, pears
finish: medium warm, lacking spice
price: moderate ~40
Engineer: At $40 or less 12 year Glenfiddich is a good speyside single malt scotch which is reasonable and tasty. Not too much peat smoke but it's there in moderation, like everything else good. For me Glenfiddich 12 year old lacks the mark of a special scotch, but it encourages me to try the 15 year old.
Poet: A good whisky but very mild. I like it, but it's like a sweet but boring date. Nothing wrong's with it, but I'm not sure I'll pick up another bottle.
The main problem here is that I like to drink scotch on the rocks. Like Rebel, it loses much with water, I tried it neat, likes that much more.
